Overall a very cool shot. The composition is excellent and the sky looks great. My only crit is that the blacks seem a bit artificial, as if you perhaps turned up the shadows a bit too much using Levels or Curves. Again, nice work. +8

Great big dramtic clouds hover over head cover the land in darkness except a small illuminted clock. Clock in tower punches through clouds as light begins to break overcast and shine down on city below.

You're not bringing a chainsaw with you to school tomorrow, are you ;)
Well the mood of the image would suit it, the exposure for the sky is just right, the bottom could be either darker or brighter, this is kind of in the middle imo (makes the clockwork stand out nicely, though).

Nice shot, very beautiful sky! I agree with sdavis75 about the black areas though. Well done anyways :)

I always like the choice of darker photos to enhance the mood or to present one side of a subject. This is a great example of that. I wouldn't change a thing!
Good luck in school! :)

The church and the lower part of the image are a bit too dark...(my opinion).
The overall image is very nice, especially the sky.
Good work:)

Very dramatic sky! I think this image would benefit from the HDR technique tremendously as the landscape would have also been exposed. None the less, well done and great capture of these great clouds! :)

Beautiful cloud formation!.....the clock is an excellent touch!

I agree with Gary - I prefer images where the darker end of the scale is chosen to enhance the mood of the subject, rather than lightening to include distracting detail. It could even go darker for me - or maybe this: keep the horizon details as they are and adjust the clocktower with an adjustment layer with levels to lighten just that building? The sky is absolutely amazing and the tension of the clocktower reaching up into that tumult makes my jaw drop. - jason
